![]() I know that Opera supports synchronising passwords now, but I'd trust LastPass' security over that of Opera Link (or most things, for that matter. The free version is pretty good if you don't mind not having two-factor authentication, though. This requires you to run a program and generate a single-use code every time you log in, or use something like a Yubikey (in addition to your password). To see what passwords youve saved over time open the browser and click on. If you get the premium version ($12 per year) it supports two-factor authentication for even more security. Opera also offers you to save your passwords to speed things up when accessing sites. It can synchronise across all major browsers as it stores the encrypted data on their servers. And even though the data is encrypted, they still use SSL for communicating with their servers (so essentially the connection is doubly encrypted). Data is encrypted and decrypted client-side, and when you log in, the password is salted before being sent to their login servers (which then salts them again). Having said that, I switched to using LastPass instead of the password manager built-in to Opera. As others have mentioned, set a master password and all the passwords will be encrypted.
